I had never done a "drawing with glue" project. I decided it was a MUST. The kids were funny, they complained more then I would have ever suspected about how "hard" it was. But, when they finally got the grasp, they were ok. I showed the students Van Gogh's sunflowers for inspiration, but they were not limited to doing just sunflowers. We used colored chalk, which...was a bit messy. Overall, they turned out nice. Here is one of my favorites:

I too did this project, it's very ironic because I just did it a couple weeks ago and the work is still hanging in the hallways. I do love the look of chalk pastels but my oh my they are Messy!!
loveit too! Quick question-What do you use to "fix" the chalk? I used to use hairspray but it really discolors everything.

I use Workable Fixitf to spray them with. It smells like overripe bananas so wait till after school to spray tme and open lots of windows if you have any.It doesn't affect the colors that much.
